Description

Notice of Intent – Sole Source. Operational Contracting, U.S. Air Force Academy intends to award a Sole Source contract utilizing simplified acquisition procedures to Polytec Inc., 1342 Bell Ave, Suite 3A, Tustin, CA 92780-6440.. The proposed acquisition is for 1 each 3-D Laser Vibrometer Assembly. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) number is 334519 and the business size standard is 500 employees. System requirements are: Simultaneous measurement of vibrations along 3 dimensions at a single point. Frequency range up to 50 kHz. Velocity measurements up to 1m/s. Velocity resolution of <5microns/sec. Single head portable system. Fully computer controlled with post-test video graphic display. Spot size of less than 0.2mm. Any company that believes they can provide the requirements as stated above may submit their respective data and comments ( limited to 2 pages or less) not later than 2:00 PM., Mountain Time Zone), 22 May 2008. In order to be considered a potential source, interested parties must submit clear and convincing documentation demonstrating the capabilities to satisfy the requirement specified above. The documentation shall include prices and data containing sufficient technical documentation to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. The written response shall include the names, telephone numbers and electronic mail addresses of the contact points for this item. THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR NOTIFICATION PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION FOR COMPETITIVE BIDS OR PROPOSALS. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this synopsis. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. This procurement is for the acquisition of a commercial item using simplified procedures in accordance with FAR parts 12 and 13.
