Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the Government's intent to award on a sole source basis a requirement for repair to the APU Clutch for a quantity of two (2) each NSN: 2835-01-164-5786, P/N: 3886000-5. Authority cited: Statutory authority permitting other that full and open competition for this requirement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by paragraph 6.302-1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) entitled- Only one source or a limited number of responsible sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The existing unique design capability, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source required acquisition of the parts required from the approved source only. The approved source retains the necessary data, manufacturing knowledge, and or technical data that are not economically available to the government. This acquisition will be awarded to Honeywell International DBA Honeywell Division Engines and Systems & Services 11 South 34th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85034. After the TT&E is completed the Contractor, if authorized, will perform the Repair and Rebuild (R&R) effort. All approved, responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency.
