Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS SOLICITATION IS ISSUED AS REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ) NO. AG-4283-S-08-0017. Quote/Offers are due on or before close of business July 24, 2008. Late quotes/offers will not be considered. Quotes/offers received after date set for receipt of quotes will be rejected. This solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-26, dated 6/12/2008. Description of Requirement: Furnish one (1) each 35 ton Trailer Transport Salient Characteristics: --8ft 6in wide --28ft 6in wide deck length --Full neck (30 degree slope) --34in maximum deck height --72in beaver tail @ 10 degrees --120in ramps (36in wide, electric/hydraulic w/ 3/4in hinges) --48in 5th wheel height --84in swing clearance w/15in pin setting --Overall length as required Required features as follows - --H-9700 spring suspension --235/75 R 17.5 tires --4S/2M ABS brakes --Deck and beaver tail surface - 2in rough sawn hardwood (set 1/2in higher than steel sides) --Plate steel neck and upper deck surface (also over tires if required for clearance) --1x1x4in bar grate on center 36in width (approx) of deck and beaver tail --Two 4in angle iron track guides extend from neck riser to top of beaver tail (36in out to out) --Ramp surface - 2in rough sawn hardwood (set 1/2in higher than steel sides) --Storage compartment in upper deck with lockable lid --2 speed landing gear with sand shoes set for minimum 12in ground clearance (retracted) --D rings (14), cl/axle, ft/axle, 72in and 36in ahead frt/axle, 36in behind frt/deck, mid/slope neck --Lighting DOT approved, LED, flush mount/inset into ramps, mid turn, multi func/dual strobe turn --Paint - CAT Yellow TIME FOR DELIVERY: 90 calendar days after receipt of order. This includes product literature, detailed specifications, warranty provisions, or other documents, if necessary; (5)Terms of any express warranty; (6) Price and any discount terms; (7) Remit to address, if different than mailing address; (8) Completed copy of the Representations and Certifications at FAR 52.212-3; (9) Acknowledgement of any Solicitation amendments; EVALUATION: Offerors MUST meet technical requirements of Solicitation in order to be considered for award. If two or more offerors submit offers meeting the technical requirements award will be based on lowest total price offered.
