Description

This is a pre-solicitation notice for a Request for Quotation for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and supervision to replace three metal roofs at Au Sable Light Station, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, near Munising, MI.The work consists of replacing metal shingle roofs on three Au Sable Light Station buildings: Single Keepers Dwelling (HS-09), Double Keepers Dwelling (HS-11), and Fog Signal Building (HS-16). Roof areas to be addressed are 2,000 sq. ft., 3,000 sq. ft., and 1,500 sq. ft. respectively. Work will include removing the existing metal shingles to the roof boards/sheathing, repairing damaged roof support structures, and installing pre-finished metal shingles on all roof surfaces of the three buildings. The NAICS Code is 238160. The small business size standard is $13.0 million. The estimated price range of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.Project performance will be 60 days after issuance of the notice to proceed. This project is being solicited and awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. The solicitation with drawings, specifications, bid schedule and wage rates will be posted to the website http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://idease.nvc.gov on or about July 8, 2008. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed or issued.
