Description
NAICS Code: 511210 The US EPANational Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC), under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Rules (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Vertere Inventory Control Systems of Portsmouth, RI forVertere Inventory Manager software, a one year software maintenance contract, training, installation and hardware options. The justification is as follows. NEIC develops and implements innovative techniques, practices, and procedures using its scientific and technical expertise, devises specialized methods and/or technical field applications, and transfers these capabilities to state, local and Federal environmental enforcement and compliance assurance programs. Consequently, there is a need for automated inventory support with barcodes, fast and accurate report generation and accurate reporting to local emergency response personnel in regards to risk level assessments. The Vertere Inventory Manager has gained near uniformity across the EPA laboratory system. Currently, nineteen laboratories use the VIM software, including nine of the ten regional EPA laboratories. Uniformity in inventory management allows for the potential for the integration and sharing of information between the laboratories at a later date. VIM software was recommended for Agency use in order to facilitate chemical inventory and tracking. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement may submit a response, which if received within two days of the closing date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this announcement must be in writing to daniels.ryan@epa.gov.
