Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to procure, using simplified acquisition procedures, a sole source basis and under the authority of FAR 6.301-1(a)(2), National Council of Advanced Manufacturing (NACFAM), Washington, DC 20036-4913. Membership with National Council of Advanced Manufacturing (NACFAM) shall provide NIST information and insight in manufacturers’ needs allow NIST to refine its activities and programs and it will effectively match U.S. priorities. This information on manufacturers is only available from NACFAM. NACFAM has the proprietary knowledge and capability to provide these services. A solicitation package will not be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider other responses received by July 08, 2008.A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisitionbased upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
