Description
The government intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price type purchase order for material and services in accordance with FAR part 13, in support of the Maritime Expeditionary Security Group 2 (MESG2). The materials and services are required for the boat preservation services to include painting and non-skid on all normally painted external surfaces of Three(3) Oswald Class 25 SafeBoats. This refurbishment is required as part of normal upkeep to these vessels. The boats will be delivered and picked-up by Government personnel to vendors in the local area. Period of performance is to be from contract award date to 01 August, 2008. Projected contract award date is 03 July, 2008. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 488390 ($6.5M). NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. A complete RFQ (N00189-08-T-0417) package will be available on or about 26 June, 2008. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil or at http://www.fedizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerors at anytime prior to award. By submitting a proposal, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the CCR database prior to award, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside of the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
