Description
6/26/2008: Date for site visit, tour of P-205, and Pre-Proposal Conference has changed to July 22, 2008 (7/22/2008). Location remains unchanged, Georgia Coast Guard Base, Poti, Georgia (on the Black Sea). The site visit and tour of P-102 (second vessel scheduled for modernization) will be held on July 23, 2008 (7/23/2008) at the Georgia Coast Guard Base, Batumi, Georgia (on the Black Sea). Firms interested in attending any or all of these events are requested to register in advance with the Contracting Officer. We regret having to make this change and hope that any inconvenience to interested parties is minimal. CBP has determined to delete the Caterpillar and ZF specific work from this requirement and acquire it separately. See solicitation HSBP1008Q1817 on this website for the requirement and relating documents. An additional amendment is forthcoming which will provide a complete and updated solicitation (HSBP1008Q1811) for consideration. Quotation due date is changed to July 29, 2008 (7/29/2008), 9:00am Central Time. No Other Changes. Note: CBP realizes that attendance of the Site Visit, Vessel Tour and Pre-Proposal Conference may represent a considerable business development expense. Firms are encouraged to submit comments about informational needs that if satisfied, would sufficiently mitigate the absence of information that would be obtained via personal attendance. CBP will attempt to meet reasonable informational requests in order to provide maximum opportunity for all interested firms in this acquisition. In any case, questions and comments raised at the conference will be published at this website for the benefit of all interested parties. Firms interested in conducting business in Georgia may be interested in a document available at the US Embassy website.
