Description

N62306-08-P-M417 The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to issue a sole source award to IPS METEOSTAR, INC. in Englewood, CO under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is a requirement for the LEADS Software Maintenance. These systems are proprietary to IPS METEOSTAR, INC. NAVOCEANO has the tasking of obtaining LEADS meteorological/environmental data. Support will be for twelve months after date of contract. The LEADS is a cutting-edge weather display system, which allows for the ingest, integration, processing and visualization of virtually any type of meteorological/environmental data. IPS METEOSTAR, INC. was the only vendor who provided this weather data, and could meet the requirement for data ingest. This action will be conducted in accordance with FAR 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The resulting contract will be firm fixed-price. NAICS Code 511210 and Business Size of $23.0M apply. This synopsis is published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive offers. Any inquiries concerning this requirement are to be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note 22.
