Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F3Z2488093A001; this solicitation is a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-26, Defense DCN 20080513, and AFAC 2008-0605. This acquisition will be full and open competition; the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. The business size standard is $6,500,000. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is J017. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7699. This request for quotation consists repair and calibration of the following Fluke manufactured 5700A/03's. ITEM 0001: 5700A/03, S/N 5440022 repair and calibration: 1 EA. Discrepancy: Unit will not produce DCV, ACV, or Current in all ranges. ITEM 0002: 5700A/03, S/N 6185903 repair and calibration: 1 EA. Discrepancy: Unit does not pass DC Zero Standardization. Self-test or Diagnostics indicates numberous error codes. ITEM 0003: 5700A/03, S/N 5955305 repair and calibration: 1 EA. Discrepancy: Unit gives numberous error codes and a strong burnt circuit smell coming from Wideband Oscillator Assembly. When unit was turned on to troubleshoot it began to smoke. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition. Offerors must comply with all instructions contained in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items (Jan 1999): (a) The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
