- The U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), located in Arlington, VA, is seeking eligible sources capable of completing construction as descrived below: Work will involve constructing a wastewater treatment building, providing and installing wastewater treatment equipment, providing and installing 3 pumps in an existing pump station, and installing wastewater collection piping at a fish hatchery. The treatment building will be a heated and insulated pre-fabricated metal building approximately 50' long and 30' wide, and will include underground tanks for filtered solids storage. The treatment system will include two drum filters and a belt filter with a polymer system. Piping work will include installing wastewater collection piping in 18 fish-rearing raceways and connecting that piping to an existing 24" buried pipeline. Work will include providing electric power to the pump station and the treatment building (both are within 30 feet of the existing hatchery building), and installing pipe to connect the pump station to the treatment building (approximately 30 feet away). THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. A request for proposal will be posted on www.fedbizopps.gov approximately on July 14, 2008 with drawings and specifications available for download.
