- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following item(s).1. 25 each, Mid-Detail 1/24th Scale Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Satellite Models 2. 10 each, 1/13th Scale Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Satellite ModelsNASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from A&M Model Makers Inc. pursuant to FAR13.106, for the acquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably availablefrom only one source. A&M Model Makers, Inc. has previously manufactured and provideduniquely designed prototype units for the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter Mission.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 2:00 p.m. Local Timeon July 8, 2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
