Description
The U.S. Government is conducting a market survey of industry to identify sources that are interested in providing customer support, labor, material, tools, and transportation to include all required equipment to accomplish the mission of operating the U.S. Governments Interceptor Body Armor Warehouse (IBA), storage and issuing facility at Camp Ali Al Salem Logistical Support Area (LSA) Kuwait. The Contractor will have the responsibility to store IBA for R&R leave, emergency leave, and for TDY personnel. The Contractor will issue contingency and bulk issue of IBA equipment to units. The Contractor will receive contingency and bulk issue of IBA equipment from designated sources in support of the IBA push package. The Contractor will review and follow procedures in accordance with (IAW) the following regulations in order to understand and meet support requirements of the U.S. Military and Federal employees: AR-710-2, AR-735-5, AR 700-84, DA PAM 710-2-1, DA PAM 710-2-2, AR 725-50. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued on a full and open basis, with firm fixed prices. Parties interested in responding to a solicitation for the IBA Warehouse Requirement, are invited to indicate their interest by providing a brief summary (no more than 3 pages) to the Government. The summary shall include the companys capabilities, including a brief description of facilities, personnel, and past experience as it relates to this requirement. This information shall be submitted to Mr. John Cooper, john.p.cooper@us.army.mil. Please respond no later than 10 July 2008. All information collected from this market survey shall be used for planning purposes only. Do not mistake this sources sought as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the government. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. Please identify any proprietary information submitted. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status.
