- NOTICE TYPEPresolicitation SET ASIDE: Total Small Business Classification Code: PSC: H365, Inspection Services - Medical, Dental, Veterinarian Equipment. NAICS Code NAICS 541990, All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services $6,500,000.00 SYNOPSIS PRE-SOLICITATION SYNOPSIS: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island (VAMC PRO) requires certified Medical Gas Inspector services for a comprehensive, on-site survey of its medical gas system. The certification standards for persons performing under the contract are set forth at American Society of Sanitary Engineers (ASSE) Series 6000 Professional Quality Standards for Medical Gas Systems Professionals. The survey includes documentation of Oxygen, Medical Air, Nitrous oxide, Nitrogen, Medical vacuum, anesthesia exhaust, and related systems. This survey includes bulk systems, manifolds, compressors, dryers, filters, regulators, vacuum pumps, air treating systems, zone valves, outlets, master alarms, and area and system alarms as appropriate. A detailed survey report (draft and final), briefing, gas system record drawings and an analysis report (draft and final) describing system problems and solutions, with recommendations, cost estimates and drawings shall be provided as deliverables. The contractor is required to perform according to the requirements set forth in the Statement of Work. The agency intends to award one firm-fixed price (FFP) contract with a 120 day period of performance. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541990 and the corresponding dollar standard is $6.5 million. Competition for this award is Total Small Business Set-aside. Offerors will be evaluated on the following factors: Technical, Past Performance and Price. An on-site walk-through will be held after release of the RFP. Solicitation VA241-08-RQ-0340 will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or after June 30, 2008. Interested parties are required to download the RFP and all related documents from this website. No printed copies of the RFP are available. The Medical Gas Inspector contractor is required to be located within a 200 mile radius of Providence, Rhode Island. See Numbered Note 1. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
