Description
The Office of International Affairs and Trade Relations (INATR), US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is acquiring lodging accommodations and conference related services in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions below, for the purpose of conducting a meeting for the Departmental Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations of Customs and Border Protection and Related Functions (COAC), in the greater Seattle, Washington area, August 4 -7, 2008. This meeting will include senior managers from Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Treasury, CBP officials, 20 COAC members, and members of the public. CBP requires a high quality "full service" hotel (i.e., with daily room cleaning services), with a 3 star/diamond rating (or higher) from Orbitz, Travelocity, and/or AAA. The successful Contractor must provide 45 lodging rooms and parking. The actual meeting will be held 8/7/2008 and the Contractor must provide a conference room to accommodate 110 participants, food and beverage services, audio equipment, audio recording services, and coat check services. Hotel must be located within a 30-mile radius of Sea-Tac Airport and must also be located within a 30 mile radius of downtown Seattle, using distance data from Google Maps, Mapquest, or similar online utilities as a basis. Normal travel time between the hotel and the airport and the hotel and downtown, during any time of the day (including rush hour) must not be longer than 60 minutes (using the data at the above websites). Hotel must be located in a safe and quiet environment, defined as a location where guests can walk outside in the area of the facility without crossing any major highways, and able to do so with a reasonable sense of personal security. Quotations are being requested via the relating solicitation that has been uploaded at this website, RFQ HSBP1008Q1820. This is an RFQ issued in accordance with FAR Part 13. It is the responsibility of the Offeror/Quoter to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions contained in the solicitation. This RFQ will be issued through this Government Point of Entry (www.fbo.gov). Future information about this acquisition including amendments to this procurement requirement will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The Government intends to award a purchase order resulting from this RFQ to the responsible vendor whose quotation conforming to the RFQ will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Responses will be evaluated on the basis of best value. CBP expects to acquire the accommodation services at nightly rates not exceeding the current GSA per diem level of $152.00 for King County. NOTE: Offerors/Quoters must be registered at WWW.CCR.GOV with a status of “ACTIVE” in order to be eligible for award and must be in compliance with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 (PL101-391).
