- This Pre-Solicitation notice is for fiber optic installation. The USPFO for Indiana intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for services, non-personal, to provide the following: Provide fiber optics cable runs from the Communications Building 7 to the designated buildings in the Eastside Cantonment Area, termination requirements, and internal wiring between the Buildings. All fiber will be furnished and installed in compliance with the specifications. This acquisition is restricted to 8(a) certified contractors registered in Indiana. All responsible sources are encouraged to bid. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. To be eligible for contract award, a firm must be registered in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Firms can register via the CCR Internet site at http://www.ccr.gov or by contacting the CCR Information Center at 1-888-227-2423. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237130, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation. Funds are not presently available for this acquisition. No contract award will be made until funds are available. Interested offerors are required to submit their representations and certifications on-line at http://orca.bpn.gov. You will need your DUNS number and CCR MPIN in order to log in to the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) website. The tentative date for issuing the Request for Proposal on-or-about 9 July 2008. The tentative date for the pre-bid conference is on-or-about 30 July 2008, 1:00 p.m. local time at Camp Atterbury, Edinburgh Indiana. All contractors are encouraged to attend. It is requested that any questions you might have for the pre-bid be sent via EMAIL by 228 July 2008, to veronica.ernstes@us.army.mil The bid opening is scheduled for on-or-about 15 August, 1:00 p.m. local time at the USPFO FOR INDIANA. Construction /contract completion time is six months after award. This project has been assigned Request for Proposal (RFP) number W912L9-08-R-0050. Requests for the solicitation package should be submitted as soon as possible after the formal issue of this advertisement in Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps). The solicitation and associated information will be available from the EBS website http://www.nationalguardcontracting.org/Ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at this site.
