Description
This work to be performed under the requirement that consists of, but is not limited to the following: (1 Demolition of the interior construction of existing facility 261, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and special systems and windows. (2 Reconstruction of existing facility 261 including complete interior and exterior finishes, window replacement, architectural, mechanical, electrical and special systems. (3 Construction of two enclosed stairways on existing facility 261. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. The approximate issue date will be 16 July 2008 with a response date of 18 Aug 2008. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal and is issued as a set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concerns registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Information to register can be found on the internet at http://www.ccr.gov/or telephone 1-888-227-2423. All responsive offers will be considered by the agency. All offers will be evaluated utilizing best value procedures. The performance period is 365 calendar days. The project magnitude is between $1 and $5 Million. The entire solicitation, including the specifications, will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) Web Site at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE Code). Telephone and fax requests will not be honored. When requested, the ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The existence of the ombudsman does not affect the authority of the program manager, contracting officer, or source selection official. Further, the ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals, the source selection process, or the adjudication of protests or formal contract disputes. The ombudsman may refer the party to another official who can resolve the concern. (b) Before consulting with an ombudsman, interested parties must first address their concerns, issues, disagreements, and/or recommendations to the contracting officer for resolution.
