- This is a pre-solicitation notice for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and transportation necessary for the asphalt overlay of the Congaree National Park entrance road and parking lots with 1 1/2 inch thick asphalt approximately 22,785 square yards. Also included is the re-striping of the entrance road and parking areas. Location of entrance road and parking lots are within Congaree National Park, Hopkins, South Carolina. THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE AND EMAIL REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 36.204 the estimated construction price range: Between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS code is 237310. The small business size standard is $31 million. This acquisition is subject to P.L.100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is subject to full and open competition. Accordingly, it is open to both small and large businesses. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation with specifications, bid schedule, and wage rates will be posted to the websites http://www.fedbizopps.gov and http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about July 15, 2008. Contractors are urged to make a site visit to ascertain existing work conditions. Further details will be described in the solicitation; all interested offerors are encouraged to attend. In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors will be asked to register their company with the electronic commerce website. Be prepared with your company's DUNS number which is available from Dun and Bradstreet at 1-888-546-0024, and your Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). All vendors should pre-register by logging onto the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Responses from offerors will be accepted at the address listed in the solicitation in hard copy with the manual signature of the authorized company official. Facsimile offers shall NOT be accepted. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation. The announcement does not constitute the solicitation.
