- Solicitation AG-82X9-S-08-0212 is for the Stillwater Pass Road slump repair project. A section of NFSR 123 Stillwater Pass road has failed (loss of road shoulder) and has restricted the width of this two lane gravel road to one lane for about 0.1 miles. The work required includes the reconstruction of approximately 0.1 miles of the road with a deep french drain installed on the upside of the road. Work items include, but are not limited to; removal of existing soil nails, excavation and embankment, aggregate base, traffic control, temporary erosion control, french drain construction, trenching, geotextiles, rip rap, culvert installation, clay linears, and hydroseeding. This project is located on the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forest, Sulphur Ranger District located in Grand County, Colorado. Directions to the project site: from Granby, Colorado travel north along State Highway 40 approximately one mile to the intersection with State Highway 34. Then travel north along 34 approximately nine miles to the intersection with NFSR 125 (Stillwater Pass Road/Grand County Road 4) then west approximately seven miles to the road slump area. The project time for this project is 90 days. Work will begin as soon as practicable after award. The Government estimate for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This solicitation will be posted to www.fbo.gov on or around June 24, 2008. The solicitation will be available for download at no cost at this website. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after the solicitation is issued. There will be a site visit for this project conducted on July 10, 2008, 10:00 local time. The site visit will be hosted at the Arapaho Roosevelt National Forest Sulphur Ranger District Office located at 9 Ten Mile Drive, Granby, Colorado. If you plan to attend the site visit, you must RSVP by calling Christina A. Schofield at 970-295-6635 before close of business on July 8, 2008. Attendance is not required to submit a proposal. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted in writing to cschofield@fs.fed.us or via facsimile to 970-295-6699. Only written questions will be addressed. All Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor’s Registry (CCR) in accordance with FAR 52.207-4 to be considered for award. All Offerors must be registered in ORCA in accordance with FAR 52.204-8 to be considered for award.
