- NOTE: THIS SOLICITATION IS INTENDED ONLY FOR LOCAL SOURCES IN ACCORDANCE WITH FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION 5.202(A)(12). LOCAL SOURCES ARE THOSE SOURCES NORMALLY RESIDENT, LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO CONDUCT CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS IN JAPAN. OFFERS FROM NON-LOCAL SOURCES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNDER THIS SOLICITATION. This project requirement is to replace heating system, building 2605 at Kawakami Ammunition Depot, Hiroshima-ken, Japan. Performance Period: 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is issued. Site orientation is scheduled for 17 Jul 08, 1030 hours at Kawakami Ammunition Depot, Hiroshima-ken, Japan. All offerors are encouraged to participate in this scheduled tour. If offerors are interested in and to participate in the site visit scheduled for the solicitation, offerors must contact Mr. Ryuichiro Murakami at Commercial Tel No. 042-552-1046 or ryuichiro.murakami.jp@yokota.af.mil no later than 14 Jul 08, 1600 hours (Local Time) following the instructions specified in the solicitation (Section L). Offerors must provide with the price proposal submitted in response to the RFP, a letter of intent from their surety asserting their ability to obtain performance bond in accordance with the solicitation instruction/requirement.
