- Solicitation 8008-24 seeks helicopter flight services with minimum requirements of a turbine engine, external HOGE Payload of 2000 pounds at 1100 feet pressure altitude at 80 degrees Fahrenheit with a total fuel load for 1 hour flight to support Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation at Fresno, CA. Contractor services include provisions of helicopter, pilot(s), fuel, aircraft maintenance support, and all other associated equipment, as prescribed in the government's solicitation. Mission activities are primarily external load removal and placement of drilling equipment in support of geological drilling investigations on the Upper San Joaquin River. The project will consist of a maximum of six airlifts (4-6 hours each) between July and November 2008. Contractor(s) must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certificate issued under 14 CFR Part 133. The contract period will be from the date of award through December 31, 2008 and only one award is expected to be made. It is a requirement that any successful awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) prior to award being made. It is the offeror's responsibility to ensure registration is accurate and valid. Solicitation information will be available through the FedBizOpps website (found under Department of the Interior, Office of the Secretary, NBC, Aviation Management Headquarters, Boise, ID) and at http://amd.nbc.gov. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. The anticipated issue date of the solicitation is June 30, 2008 with a closing date of July 3, 2008.
