- The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Embassy Suites Old Town Alexandria to provide support to the Army G-1, Human Resources Policy Directorate, SAPR office for planning and executing the 2008 Army Sexual Assault Prevention and Risk Reduction Training Summit in Alexandria, Virginia. Period of Performance is Monday, September 8 through Thursday September 11, 2008. Requirements include individual hotel rooms for 100 to 125 personnel each night. Additionally, Embassy Suites Old Town Alexandria will provide each day one large conference meeting room to host 250 personnel in a meeting format and/or theater style format, one break out room to accommodate approximately 20 personnel and one room for an operations area. Refreshments will be provided for all attendees during planned breaks each day. Internet connectivity, audio/visual support, and staging will also be provided. This noncompetitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.301-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements). The Contracting Center of Excellence plans to issue this requirement as a purchase order. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All inquiries must be addressed in writing via e-mail to: brenda.keiper@hqda.army.mil by NLT 10:00 a.m. on 8 July 2008. Telephone inquires will not be accepted. The decision not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
