- Description
- The Government is seeking professional design services from an architect-engineering (A/E) firm to develop working drawings and specifications for the renovation of 3 North East at VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. A/E will develop construction contract drawings and specifications to complete the renovation of approximately 6000 square feet of existing BioMed work spaces and office space into exam/office rooms, small Biomed workshop and a lobby for future building connection on the Third Floor, Building One at the University Drive Division of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. The proposed area to be included in the scope of the project is in the 3RD Floor North East Wing. This work includes architectural, electrical, mechanical including HVAC and control replacement, asbestos abatement, monitoring, and site modifications. All designs shall be accomplished in accordance with VA guidelines and specifications, which are available on the Internet at http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard. The A/E will make site visits as necessary to survey existing conditions as required to determine existing as-built conditions affecting this project. A/E shall field verify every aspect that relates to the project, coordinate visits with the Project Manager. A/E must be proficient in the use of Auto Cad 2007 and have access to Microsoft Word 5.0 or higher. Estimated cost of construction is $1,000,000.00 - $2,000,000.00. This is a service disabled veteran owned small business set-aside. Those interested service-disabled veteran owned small businesses, shall submit three (3) copies of current SF 330 to the attention of Kathy Policicchio, Contracting Officer 90C-H, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The NAICS code is 541330 with the small business size standard of $4.5 million. Due date for SF 330's is July 30, 2008 at 2:00pm. This is not a request for proposal. Numbered Note #24.
