- Description
- The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Region 5 has a requirement for the spraying of Phragmites australis (Phragmites). The proposed work is to provide for the spraying (both ground and aerial) of approximately 170 acres at the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex, Shirley, NY. The period of performance is estimated to be 30 days. Timeframe for application is September 1 - September 30, 2008. The contractor will furnish all labor, chemicals, and equipment necessary to spray affected areas. The magnitude of work is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code is 115112 with a small business standard of $ 6.5 million dollars. This is total small business set aside. Issue date for the solicitation will be on or about July 7, 2008. Requests for a solicitation package can be submitted in writing to Gary Dupuis at USFWS, 300 Westgate Center Drive, Hadley, MA 01035. Telephonic requests WILL NOT be accepted. However, FAX requests will be accepted at FAX # (413) 253-8450. Any requests for a solicitation package shall include the name, address, telephone number, name of point of contact, and should be identified by the solicitation number and the title shown above. Firms responding to this announcement are required to register in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The CCR database is the primary Government repository for contractor information and is required to conduct business with the Federal Government. There are 2 steps to register: 1) Obtain a DUNS number by calling Dun and Bradstreet at 888-814-1435 or www.dnb.com, and 2) Complete the register in CCR.
