- Pre-Solicitation Synopsis: The Government intends to procure an upgrade to the Weibel Radar Tracking System. This upgrade has been determined to be a commercial item and is intended to enhance the NSWC Crane Weibel Radar Tracking Systems. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334511 and the size standard is 750 employees. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price, IDIQ (3-year) type contract for the following items upgraded by Weibel Scientific. This is a sole source effort with Weibel Scientific, Solvang 30, 3450 Allerod, Denmark. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 Real Time Processor (RTP2100)/Real Time Data Storage (RTDS-2100) Computer with software and cables/X-Keys Joystick Control (CP-2100). The Government intends to issue a solicitation on or about 15 July 2008. The contract type will be a Firm-Fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ). The minimum quantity is 1/EA (CLIN 0001) with a maximum quantity of 3 EA (CLIN 0001) which may be ordered over the three-year life of the contract. The contract will be F.O.B. Destination. For the minimum quantity, delivery of the 1/EA is required 180 days after the effective date of the contract (DAC). Any subsequent delivery order will order between 1/EA and 3/EA with a minimum delivery rate of 1/EA commencing 180 days after the effective date of the delivery order. A proposal which contains any pertinent information the Government should be made aware of and relative pricing information is required by the closing date of solicitation. To be eligible for award, contractors must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the Internet @ www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about 15 July 2008 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to Crane web site, FedBizOpps and NECO for amendments that may be issued to the solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must download from the www site listed.
