- In accordance with FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b) the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to The Institute of Sustainable Development (ISD),University of Iceland, to provide conference coordination for the 4th International Fishing Industry Safety and Health (IFISH) conference. The ISD is an interdisciplinary research institute which instigates, organizes and runs research and development projects concerning various aspects of sustainable development; taking environmental, social and economic concerns into account. ISD are experts in commercial fishing safety and conference organization in Iceland. The IFISH conference will bring together fishermen, fishing safety proponents and professionals, government officials, equipment manufactures and other parties interested in fishing safety and health, and builds on previous conferences coordinated by ISD. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Documentation should be received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis to be considered by CDC. A determination by the CDC not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the government.
