- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Information Processing Techniques Office (IPTO) intends to issue a limited Broad Agency Announcement and potentially contract with one or more limited sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals outside of those sources listed in the attached Combined Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) Development Initiative (CADI) Source List. Specifically, DARPA has a requirement for an industrial source for the design, development and fabrication of both digital and analog ASICs. The CADI program will focus on the critical design work required for both digital and analog ASICs for use in a low-power, miniature RF device and provide an initial production run for testing and evaluation. Critical aspects of the program include a demonstrated experience in the design and fabrication of digital and/or analog ASIC components for complex DoD or commercial applications; access to a foundry within the continental United States; a facility clearance for the production and storage of classified information to the SECRET level; cleared personnel with prerequisite experience in ASIC chip design; and, design layout and experience with the IBM trusted foundry processes.
