- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION NOTICE. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) will issue a Market Survey on Tuesday, July 1, 2008. This Market Survey is available on the following web site, www.dscc.dla.mil/programs/contracts/ROWPU/index.html. The purpose of this Market Survey is to obtain industry input to be used in establishing a Performance Based Logistics (PBL) approach for the supply chain management of multiple NSN’s for the Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU), Tactical Water Purification System (TWPS) and Lightweight Water Purifier (LWP), for the Department of Defense. This program is designed to provide the supply, storage and distribution for multiple Federal Supply Classes and is intended to create a tailored supply support program for worldwide demands for water purification customers. DSCC would like to take advantage of the latest technologies, expertise, and business practices, which translate into improved support to customers at less cost. This Market Survey is for informational purposes only. The Government will use this input to develop its acquisition strategy to address specific customer requirements. DLA is interested in receiving industry comments, recommendations, and ideas regarding this initiative. Your written comments will be welcomed. In addition to the questionnaire, a draft performance work statement and some basic data is included. Your comments on the draft performance work statement are welcome and should be included with your market survey. Please provide your comments by Friday, August 1, 2008, 2:00 PM EST.
