Description
The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is interested in receiving research and development proposals for the Director's Innovation Initiative (DII) Program focusing on the following areas: 1) Intelligence Data Gathering Enabling Technologies and Practices and 2) Intelligence Data Processing And Dissemination Enabling Technologies And Practices. This notice constitutes a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) as contemplated in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.102(d)(2) for US domestic private industry and educational institutions. This announcement declares the NRO's intent to competitively fund research and development for innovative technologies that meet the focus areas set forth in the BAA. The BAA can be found on the DII Home Page, accessible through the NRO’s Acquisition Resource Center website located at http://arc.westfields.net on or around 30 June 2008. No other request for proposal, solicitation, or other announcement will be made. Readers must download from the DII website all applicable information necessary to submit a proposal. Submission of proposals against this BAA is open to US domestic private industry and educational institutions, with no restrictions as to the size of the business. Awards shall take the form of contracts only. Before preparing a proposal, potential offerors should read the information provided in the BAA for details regarding the areas of interest, proposal format, proposal submission, and proposal evaluation. It is expected that multiple awards will result from proposals received, at a maximum funding level of approximately $400,000.00 with a nine (9) month period of performance. Proposals will not be returned after evaluation. Except as otherwise stated herein, no additional written information is available regarding this announcement. Requests for the same will be disregarded. The Government reserves the right to select all, some, or none of the proposals received in response to the announcement.
