- JUNEAU ROADS SURFACING REQUEST FOR QUOTES (RFQ) GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project consists of shaping and compacting approximately 1 mile of existing single lane gravel roads, including turnouts and parking areas on the Juneau road system. Performance period including clean-up is 70 calendar days. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $25,000 - $100,000. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located on the Juneau road system with a portion of the project area located at milepost 16 Glacier Highway and another portion located at milepost 26 Glacier Highway. Juneau, Alaska is linked to Seattle, Washington via Alaska Airlines, the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System and barge services from Seattle. OBTAINING A SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 15, 2008 for viewing and printing. Potential quoters are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. If unable to successfully obtain the solicitation from the Internet, then a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests must reference solicitation number AG-0116-S-08-0052. Telephone requests will not be honored. Quotes will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. NOTIFICATION OF SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: The Forest Service will not notify you of any changes to this requirement; the vendor is required to monitor this solicitation through this system. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases. To register your firm in the CCR system, go to: http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757. To register your firm in the ORCA system, go to: http://www.bpn.gov.
