- HANUS BAY ROAD STORAGE INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) This project will be totally set-aside for Hub-zone Business Concerns Only. GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The intent of the contract is to remove culverts and bridges, install waterbars and culverts, furnish, haul and place rock borrow, and perform general road maintenance on approximately 18 miles of single lane National Forest roads on the Hanus Bay road system in southeast Alaska. Performance period including clean-up is 380 calendar days. The estimated price range for this acquisition is between $100,000 - $250,000. PROJECT LOCATION: The project is located on Peril Strait approximately 50 miles south southwest of Juneau, Alaska. The project location is remote and can be accessed by boat or float plane. Juneau, Alaska is linked to Seattle, Washington via Alaska Airlines, the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry System and barge services from Seattle. OBTAINING A SOLICITATION: The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps website on or about July 15, 2008 for viewing and printing. Potential Bidders are requested to obtain the solicitation from the Internet. If unable to successfully obtain the solicitation from the Internet, then a hard copy of the solicitation documents may be requested via fax at 907.228.6254. Fax requests must reference solicitation number AG-0116-S-08-0051. Telephone requests will not be honored. Bids will be due approximately 30 calendar days after the solicitation issue date. NOTIFICATION OF SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: The Forest Service will not notify you of any changes to this requirement; the vendor is required to monitor this solicitation through this system. IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive any contract award, Vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) databases. To register your firm in the CCR system, go to: http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423 or 269-961-5757. To register your firm in the ORCA system, go to: http://www.bpn.gov.
