- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award the purchase of a proficiency testing (PT) project for 200 member laboratories to detect and analize. The chosen vendor will be responsible for producing and distributing sufficient quantities of sample panels to send to 200 member labs for testing. Production of panels for PT Challenges involves the spiking of designated environmental or clinical matrices with agents of bioterrorism, including bacteria, viruses, and toxins. Each Challenge panel contains five samples and production of as many as 200 panels may be required for each PT Challenge. In addition, twenty-percent of the panels produced must be stored by the vendor as directed by the Laboratory Response Branch (LRB)and associated Bioterrorism Rapid Response and Advance Technology (BRRAT) Laboratory (LRB/ BRRAT) for shipment as remediation up to a year after the initial PT Challenge. This contract is to hire a laboratory that has Select Agent Certification to provide all raw material, excluding biological agents, as instructed by the LRB/BRRAT laboratory. Package and ship PT Challenge panels to LRN Member Laboratories, nationally and potentially internationally, on date specified by the LRB Program Officer at specified temperature following all shipping regulations (HHS - Select Agent Regulations 42 CFR Part 73, DOC - Export Administration Regulations 15 CFR Parts 730-744, IATA Regulations, and DOT Regulations). The complete solicitation package will be available and posted at this site for downloading when issued. No telephone requests of the solicitation will be accepted or entertained. No questions will be answered via telephone. No hard copy of the solicitation package will be mailed. All responsible sources may submit a proposal for consideration. The associated NAICS codes is #621511. It is your responsibility to keep up with additional postings regarding the RFP on the Fedbizopps Website.
