- UPDATE: SYNOPSIS POSTING 01 JULY 2008 Project Number ZHTV 9607001: Repair VOQ-HVAC/Interior/Fire Protection Systems Facility 30826 Area C, WPAFBSolicitation Number FA8601-08-R-0041. SYNOPSIS: Repair VOQ-HVAC/Interior/Fire Protection Systems Facility 30826 Area C, WPAFB. Project is to replace heating/cooling units in all rooms in Building 10826, install a new fresh air system to provide conditioned air to each room, and selectively replace mechanical room equipment and piping. The project will also install a new fire alarm system, mass notification system, and fire suppression system throughout the building. The performance period is 400 days. The estimated price range is between $1M and $5M.The NAICS Code is 238220. The size standard is $13M.This is UNRESTRICTED FULL and OPEN procurement. In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award of solicitations issued after 31 May 1998. Registration may be accomplished at http://www.ccr.gov, or telephone at 1-888-CCR-2423. Every solicitation issued after 31 May 1998 must include the clause at DFARS 252.204-7004, "Required Central Contractor Registration. NOTES:(1) The solicitation will be available on the website on or about 18 July 08, at https://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil or www.fbo.gov. The specifications and drawings will be posted along with the solicitation. Documents posted prior to solicitation release are for informational purposes only.(2) Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be provided. However, you may download and print the file from the website.(3) There is no fee for this solicitation.(4) A hard copy of the solicitation will be available for review at Dayton Builders Exchange, Minority Contractor Business Assistance Program, and F.W. Dodge Division in Dayton, OH.(5) A registration page will be attached to the website. You are not required to register. However, when you register you will receive notice of any amendments and/or addendums that may be issued to the solicitation. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISITION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. TITLE/DESCRIPTION: This is a sources sought for planning purposes only:REPAIR VOQ HVAC / INTERIOR / FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS, Building 10826, project ZHTV 9607001. Project is to replace heating/cooling units in all rooms in Building 10826, install a new fresh air system to provide conditioned air to each room, and selectively replace mechanical room equipment and piping. The project will also install a new fire alarm system, mass notification system, and fire suppression system throughout the building. DOLLAR VALUE: $1,000,000 to $ 5,000,000 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CONCERNS: All actual construction work is to be completed in between Corona cycles, to avoid taking the building out of service during high-visibility, high-occupancy periods. Special coordination will be required to ensure project award, mobilization period, and construction period are reconciled with the Lodging Managers requirements for upcoming Corona events. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: 400 Days This is not a notice of solicitation issue. This Sources Sought Notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Governments acquisition approach. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 23822. PRIME contractors who are HUBZone and/or SDVOSB and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation MUST submit the following by 12:00 p.m. (EST) on 17 June 2008: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for the forthcoming solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) Date of HUBZone and or SDVOSB certification; (3) Listing of experience in work similar in type and scope that you identified to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contact with their current phone numbers; (4) Evidence of capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds; (5) If you are a HUBZone considering a joint venture, you will need to provide proof that this consideration has been forwarded to the cognizant SBA office for approval. Firms interested should provide the above documentation; e-mail and faxed responses will be accepted. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested HUBZone or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to five (5) pages. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered not interested in this requirement.
