- THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - The FAA is seeking firms to Replace Air Handling Units (AHUs) in the Electronic Equipment Room (B120) in the Control Wing Basement at the Minneapolis ARTCC, Farmington, Minnesota. Work includes but is not limited to the following:1.Remove existing five (5) air handling units in Room B120 and replace with four (4) new air handling units as shown on the drawing.2.Remove and reconnect existing hardware and software points and replace with new as required.3.Reprogram affected software points as required.4.Disconnect and reconnect chilled water supply and return piping as shown on drawing.5.Provide raised floor panels and refinish floor as required to match existing.6.Rebalance systems for air and water side.7.Other work as indicated on the project drawings and in the specifications. Offer range is between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance time of approximately 80 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for summer 2008. The Request For Offer is anticipated to be available by August 2008. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
