Description
THIS IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - The FAA is seeking small business firms to replace the boiler at the Minneapolis ARTCC, Farmington, Minnesota. Work includes but is not limited to the following:1.Replace Boiler 'B1A' with a new dual fuel boiler in the Boiler Room (B116).2.Replace all required hot water supply and hot water return and recirculation piping in the Boiler Room.3.Replace all required natural gas and fuel oil piping for Boiler B1A in the Boiler Room.4.Replace existing six (6) inch 3-way mixing valve with new.5.Disconnect and reconnect existing required DDC points.6.Other work as required on the project drawings and in the specifications. Offer range is between $100,000 and $250,000 with a performance time of approximately 30 calendar days. Construction start is anticipated for summer 2008. Interested firms should submit a letter of interest to the above named Contracting Officer via email to melody.mcgovern@faa.gov or fax to 847/294-7801 no later than July 9, 2008. The Request For Offer is anticipated to be available by August 2008. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000. For further information and applicable forms concerning the STLP, call the OSDBU at (800) 532-1169."
