Description
This project includes all work associated with the Replacement of a Visual Approach slope Indicator (VASI) with a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) for Runway 31R at Dallas Love Field Airport, Dallas, Texas. The work includes but is not limited to the following: 1.Furnish competent surveying resources to properly layout the subject sites and provide horizontal and vertical control. 2.Install PAPI facility, including: - Furnish and install reinforced concrete foundations.- Furnish and install Earth Electrode System (EES).- Furnish and install conduit and cabling.- Furnish and install concrete access road and concrete pads around PAPI equipment.- Install government Furnished PAPI system.- trench and install power cable in armored HDPE duct from PAPI site to power distribution rack located near the Runway 31R Runway Visual Range (RVR) site. Replace transformer at power distribution rack, and install disconnect switch for new PAPI feed.- Trench and install primary power cable in armored HDPE duct from the existing meter to the power distribution rack located near the Runway 31R Runway Visual Range (RVR) site. 3.Remove existing equipment enclosure and VASI equipment, turn VASI equipment over to COTR, and dispose of enclosure and foundations off airport property. Restore site to match adjacent existing conditions. 4.Install and maintain erosion control measures to protect ditches and inlets. 5.Accomplish other incidental duties to accommodate site peculiar conditions. 6.Implement and maintain a quality control plan to ensure contract compliance. Conduct all required tests and checks to verify contract compliance.Time: 45 Calendar Days Estimated Cost: Between $100,000 - $500,000 NACI: 237990 Size Standards: $31.0 Million This is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE project. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
