- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. A written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation will be posted on or about July 1, 2008, at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi-click on contracting opportunities search, enter W912EQ% in the solicitation number, click on the solicitation number, at the bottom for the next screen click on attachments, click on the pdf file and the solicitation will opening up. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District anticipates awarding a contract for a radar system in accordance with the below specifications for the Motor Vessel Strong. This acquisition is an unrestricted procurement. The associated NAICS code is 334519 with a size of 500 personnel. All responsible sources may submit at quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be submitted in hard copy or electronically, either through regular mail, email, or by facsimile. Regardless of method of delivery, it is the offerors responsibility to ensure receipt of quotes by the time and date stated herein. Contractors shall submit a lump sum quotation to include all charges. SPECIFICATIONS: SPECIFICATIONS FOR RADAR FOR M/V STRONG 1. 21 inch Diagonal high resolution LCD minimum, targets displayed in yellow or green with 16 level quantization, or in three colors red, yellow or green depending on echo strength. Radar will be a Furuno FAR2127, 25 KW with 8 foot scanner or EQUAL. 2. 25 KW output with five transmitter pulse lengths, four pulse repetition rates and three IF bandwidth, enhanced short range target discrimination. 3. Backlit touchpad controls and rotary controls, E-plot of ten targets, rate of turn, rudder angle indicator and trackball control, AIS target display required. 4. Must provide range scales from 1/8 n.m. up to 120 n.m. 5. Must be table top mount. 6. Must be readily interfaced with the following: Target Auto Plotter, Video Plotter, and other performance monitors. 7. X-Band Antenna must be 8' in Length and center mounted. 8. Contractor must remove existing radar and scanner and install and test the new units. 9. Must display AIS targets. 10. Must interface with existing Furuno equipment: Satellite Compass, Weather Station, AIS Interface and GPS. 11. Performance period is within one to two weeks of contract award. This is a critical need item on a short suspense. Time of delivery will be considered for award. 12. Site Visit: A site visit can be arranged by calling Anthony Johnson at 901-483-0019. Contractor shall submit completed clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications, Commercial Items.
