Sources and information are sought to determine the best means to fulfill the Government's requirements: The stepping motor is an eight phase, fast response, fine resolution, digital actuator. General requirements include but are not limited to: 1) Electrical requirements: 1.1) the nominal resistance of each phase is 9 OHMS and is operated with 4 phases on and 4 phases off.; 1.2) Rating without heat sink or fan. The HDM-165-2000-B motor is rated at.75 amps per phase (3 amps total), 10 volts (30 watts) in a 40"C environment. The motor case temperature should not exceed 65 C. 2) Mechanical Requirements: the motor's full step resolution is 2000 steps/revolution with a step size of.18 degrees; 2.1) Nominal Specifications: Accuracy (nonaccumulative +/- 3.5 Arc Minutes, Holding Torque 25 in lbs, rotation Bidirectional, torsional stiffness 3300 in.lb/rad, equivalent rotor inertia.72 lb. In.2, Shaft Radial deflection (1 in. from face) 163 lbs, Shaft Radial Deflection (1 in. from face) 6600 lbs/in, Shaft thrust load max 185 lbs.; 3) Environmental conditions: 3.1) the operating temperature range shall be minimum of 0" centigrade maximum of +55" centigrade. 4) Physical requirements: 4.1) the rabbet is to be concentric to shaft within.002 total indicated runout (TIR); 4.2) The mounting face is to be perpendicular to shaft within.003;.4.3) The maximum shaft runout shall be.002 TIR measured.12 from face; 4.4) the stepping motor is pre-lubricated and sealed at assembly and requires no additional lubrication; 4.5) the motor shall be supplied with an ITT Cannon type DE-9P connection at the end of flying leads. A mating type DE-9S connector shall be supplied. The connectors will be mechanically secured by means of sliding retainer.
