Description
MOISTURE PROTECTION AND SELECTIVE EXTERIOR PAINTING WORKSOLICITATION DTFASW-08-R-00077POINT OF CONTACT: JERI BIRD, CONTRACTING OFFICER, 817 222-4391 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking qualified contractors interested in providing offers for exterior moisture protection and exterior painting to seal all precast joints and paint anodized aluminum siding, metal doors and frames, and selective concrete wall surfaces at the Houston Air Route Traffic Control Center located at 16600 J.F. Kennedy Boulevard, Houston, TX 77032. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the work. 1.Contract performance time is 60 calendar days. 2.This construction project is a total set-aside for small business. 3.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238320 - Painting and Wall Covering Contractors and the small business size standard is $13 Million.4.The dollar range for this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.005.A mandatory (pre-bid) site visit will be conducted on this project. Details will be outlined in the Request for Offer Package. All interested contractors are required to attend this site visit.6.Contractor is expected to perform at least 25 % of the work utilizing the contractor's own employees.7.Contractor MUST be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before contract award. Contractors can register on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. The Request for Offer Package is expected to be available on or about July 14, 2008. Vendors must submit their request for this package no later than 3:00 pm (CDT) on July 9, 2008. Vendors must provide their company name, physical mailing address, telephone number and FAX number and complete and submit the attached Business Declaration For security reasons, this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) system. FedBizOpps is an E-Gov initiative that provides a secure environment for distributing sensitive acquisition information (to include Sensitive Unclassified Information (SUI)) to vendors during the solicitation phase of procurement. This system electronically disseminates information or data to the vendor community while still protecting SUI from unauthorized distribution. Data that can be uploaded into FedBizOpps includes construction plans, equipment specifications, and security plans. As FAA utilizes the FAA Contract Opportunities website to announce procurement opportunities, COs will utilize the Non-FBO Secure Document Link functionality in FedBizOpps when electronically distributing SUI Interested offerors must register with FedBizOpps before accessing the system. "This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
