- Description
- The Social Security Administration located at 300 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia PA 19123 is seeking a Healthcare contractor to provide Temporary Nursing Services on an as needed basis. The Social Security Administration maintains an employee provided health unit located at the above address. This installation has a workforce in excess of 1,500 employees. The health unit is located in a functionally configured suite and is normally staffed by two full-time occupational health nurses who are employees and a health unit physician contractor who is present 20 hours per week. The contractor shall provide a wide range of health unit/clinic nursing services, including, but not limited it to, non-emergency, emergency and special services. Services shall be provided on an as needed basis. SSA estimates, but does not guarantee that the annual requirement shall be approximately 450 hours per year. The period of performance shall commence on August 17, 2008 or date of award, whichever is later and includes 2 option periods of performance. It is at the sole discretion of the Government to exercise the option periods of performance. The contractor shall have contact with agency employed occupational health nurses, the health unit physician contractor, and management staff, union representatives, employee counselors and employees. It is the intent of the Social Security Administration to award a firm, fixed price best value Commercial Item Contract. Award will be made to the responsible offeror who represents the best value overall price and other factors considered. For this award, the technical specifications and past performance are approximately equal to price. In the event that 2 or more offerors meet the technical specifications and the offerors are considered to have an acceptable past performance; then price will become the determining factor. The Government may award without discussions.
