- The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) has a new requirement for Research and Development Support for a wide range of NRL research and information technology architecture, high performance computing (HPC), High performance networking, and related digital streams technology. It is anticipated that two separate awards to the same contractor will result from this solicitation. The classified portion of the effort and the unclassified portion of the effort will be awarded under separate contracts. The anticipated period of performance for both the classified award and unclassified award resulting from this solicitation will be a basic award of twelve months each with four 12-month options each, if exercised. The anticipated level of effort for the unclassified portion of the effort is as follows: 388,300 hours for the basic contract and 388,300 hours each for Options I, II, III and IV if exercised. The anticipated level of effort for the unclassified portion of the effort is as follows: 69,400 hours for the basic contract and 69,400 hours each for Options I, II, III and IV if exercised. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and amendments to RFPs. Paper copies of the RFP will not be provided. This is not a solicitation. The actual closing date for proposals will be stated in the solicitation when issued. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
