Description
By way of this SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE, the Chicago District-U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is surveying the market place to determine the interests and capabilities of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business (SDVOB) concerns who can fulfill the requirements of an upcoming acquisition for the rehabilitation of pump stations located in Hammond, Indiana. The applicable NAICS is 237990, with a small business size of $31.0M. The estimated magnitude of cost for construction is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. The certified SDVOB concern must posses the expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to meet the requirements for the Little Calumet River, Pump Station 2B Rehabilitation Project, Hammond, Indiana (Indianapolis Boulevard, Jackson Avenue, and South Side pump stations). BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT: The project will constitute providing all equipment, materials and labor for the following: The repair and replacement of pumps and/or motors; heating and ventilation work; removal and replacement of trash racks; electrical work; furnishing and installing outdoor generators, structural work, and other miscellaneous tasks for Indianapolis Boulevard, Jackson Avenue, and Southside pump stations. SUBMITTALS: The interested certified SDVOB concern shall submit narratives describing their abilities to perform the following tasks; at least two projects shall be described (Multiple projects can be cited if the scope of a particular project did not include all of the criteria). (1)Removed and re-installed vertical line shaft stormwater pumps which have a discharge diameter of 30” or larger. Experience with new installations of vertical line shaft stormwater pumps which have a diameter of 30” or larger will also be considered. (2)Worked in a combined sewer overflow, wet pit type, pump station environment where the following tasks were completed. The contractor shall have performed three (3) out of the six (6) tasks listed. a)Managed and maintained the daily flows passing through the pump station b)Replaced piping c)Replaced a mechanical trash rack d)Replaced guide rail mounted submersible sump pumps e)Installed grit collection and removal machinery f)Other tasks not specifically listed in a) thru e) (3)Coordinated installation of various electrical, mechanical and structural features of a project while keeping the facility operational with short (less than a week) allowable outages/downtime. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. Only certified SDVOBs are encouraged to participate in this survey.
