- Revision to Synopsis This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The Government requires 8 Konrad Model 520 Stern Drives (P/N 30-372), (Brand Name Only) able to withstand the power output generated by the Cummins 6BTA5.9-M3 370hp diesel engine and designed to allow for the changing of the internal lubricants of the stern drive while the subject boat remains in the water. Four (4) of the subject stern drives shall be set-up for use on the right hand side of the subject boat and the remaining four (4) stern drives shall be set-up for use on the left hand side of the subject boat. The eight (8) stern drives shall be required to be delivered by 10/27/2008. Inspection and acceptance shall take place at source. The stern drives are to be delivered FOB Destination. This requirement is for a Brand Name Only product and shall be governed by FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Additionally, this requirement shall be governed by FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR SUBPART 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database, located at www.ccr.gov. The solicitation will be available on or about 02 July 2008 at the three websites listed above. Interested parties can download the solicitation from the three websites listed above, for no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. All responsible parties may submit a proposal for this procurement, which will be considered by the Government.
