- The purpose of this modification is to answer some questions posed by potential quoters, as well as to extend the response date deadline. Questions: “Why does this solicitation specifically call for an FTIR hyperspectral imaging device versus a more traditional “push-broom” reflective imaging instrument which has been commonly deployed for this VNIR spectral range? Can a reflective hyperspectral imager be proposed or is there a specific requirement for an FTIR device?” and "Item 4-A delineates that the basic spectral imaging function should be achieved using a fast fourier transfer interferometer. Will the technical contact consider a basic spectral imaging function that utilizes a concentric imaging spectrophotometer, containing original, aberration-corrected convex holographic diffraction grating?" Response: Alternate technologies will be considered only if they meet or exceed all performance specifications as described in the solicitation. Documentation (technical literature, etc.) accompanying such quotes shall clearly explain how the alternate technology works and shall address its performance capabilities relative to all performance specifications as described in the solicitation. The response date deadline is extended to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 11. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain unchanged.
