- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of various milk products for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Florence, Colorado. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of an initial base period of 12 months, with two(2) possible 12 month option periods. The estimated contract requirements for the base period include: 2080 bulk 5 gallon bladders of 2% milk; 200 bulk 5 gallon bladders of chocolate milk; 2340 bulk 5 gallon bladders of skim milk; 774,000 pints of 2% milk; 5,200 ½ pints of 2% milk; 148,200 ½ pints of skim milk; 8,320 ½ pints of chocolate milk; 1,768 five(5)lb containers of cottage cheese; 5,824 five(5)lb containers of sour cream; 200 five(5) lb containers of cream cheese; 200 bulk 5 gallon bladders of eggnog; 500cases 3oz, 24/cs, sherbert; 500 cases 3oz, 24/cs, vanilla ice cream cups; 500 cases 3oz, 24/cs, chocolate ice cream cups; 500 cases 3oz, 24/cs, strawberry ice cream cups. The solicitation will be available on or about July 10, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about August 15, 2008. The solicitation will be issued unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 311511.
