- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to make a single award for the provision of various bread products for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex located in Florence, Colorado. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of an initial base period of 12 months, with two(2) possible 12 month option periods. The estimated contract requirements for the base period include: 120,000 loaves of whole wheat bread, 1500 packs of hot dog buns; 11,000 hamburger buns; 2,600 packs hoagie rolls; 2,600 packs kaiser buns; 2,500 packs dinner rolls; 2,100 loaves rye bread; 14,000 packs texas toast bread; 2,600 loaves kosher whole wheat bread. The solicitation will be available on or about July 10, 2008 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about August 15, 2008. The solicitation will be issued unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 311812. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
