- This Special Notice is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). It is not a solicitation Therefore, please do not submit a quote or proposal and do not request to be added to a "Bidder's List". Please do not request a copy of the solicitation because the government acquisition strategy has not been determined and thus a solicitation is not available. This RFI invites interested businesses, universities, institutes and any other entity to submit research recommendations and strategies on a range of issues pertaining to a CDC acquisition strategy for a six-year cohort study with the option to continue for an additional six years. The cohort study seeks to research the long-term health effects among approximately 5,000 children resulting from various indoor exposures to formaldehyde in FEMA-issued temporary housing units (THU) in Hurricane Katrina-affected areas. Please read the the attached.pdf document for specific "goals and objectives" of the cohort study and the objectives of the RFI. The attached document also includes instructions for preparing and submitting a response.
