- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with the Boeing, St. Louis, MO for the acquisition of a software update for the F/A-18 C/D and E/F Generator Converter Unit (GCU) Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) Intermediate level of maintenance Electrical Power Test Set, part number 74D420513-1001/1003, utilizing the AECTS/FA-18 PSE Test Bench. PMA-260 Common Support Equipment office released ECP LKE 6649-06-004, “Aircraft Engine Components Test Stand upgrade to bring all various production lots to one configuration.” for the A/F37T-21 Aircraft Engine Components Test Stand. For this ECP to be successfully incorporated into an AECTS with an F/A-18 GCU PSE installed, a software change to the F/A-18 GCU PSE must be incorporated. This contract will be a delivery order under BOA N68335-06-G-0024. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. The Government does not own current data, drawings, or other specifications to permit full and open competition. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal in writing that may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
