- Description
- The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) Upper Columbia Area Office (UCA) has a requirement for improvements to existing structures and facilities required for accessibility. The work is located at Roza Diversion Dam, approximately 10 miles north of Yakima, Washington, in Kittitas County and at the Bureau of Reclamation Fishscreen Maintenance Facility, 1917 Marsh Road, Yakima, Washington, in Yakima County. The applicable NAICS Code is 236220, the estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000 and this requirement is 100% set-aside for HUBZone firms. The principal components of work to be performed at the Roza Diversion Dam location include: installing one Government-furnished single vaulted CXT restroom (Gunnison Model); excavating for installation of the toilet vault; excavating for, and furnishing and placing a 5-foot wide, 4-inch thick reinforced concrete walkway (approximately 420 linear feet) and a 5-foot wide, 8-inch thick reinforced concrete walkway (approximately 115 linear feet) and a 5-foot wide by 32-foot long reinforced concrete rampway tied into existing belt screen deck with dowel bars; installing handrails and bullrail edge protection along rampway; excavating for, and furnishing and placing 2 reinforced concrete van accessible parking spaces which includes furnishing and placing 2 van accessible signs, furnishing and placing 2 manufactured wheel stops, furnishing materials for, and placing access aisle stripes, and accessibility pavement markings. Work at the Fishscreen Maintenance Facility, Building 126 includes: furnishing and installing two assistive listening systems in 1st floor conference room; saw cutting, removing, and disposing of existing concrete walkway around north and west end of building, approximately 78linear feet; excavating, site grading, and furnishing and placing new concrete walkway and 2 walkway ramps to meet current ADA-ABA AG standards; reconfiguring 2 van accessible parking spaces in the paved parking lot on northeast side of building to meet ADA-ABA AG guidelines (minimum 16 feet wide by 18 feet long) which includes removing existing accessibility pavement markings and striping, furnishing materials for, and placing access aisle stripes and accessibility pavement markings, furnishing and installing 2 van accessible signs to be mounted on building, and furnishing and installing 2 manufactured wheel stops; furnishing and installing metal closed risers on all exterior stairs on the east side of the building (outside stairs have a total of 79 risers); modifying current handrails and furnishing and installing new handrails to meet current ADA-ABA AG standards; furnishing and installing tubular metal vertical clearance guardrail under outside stairway #1 at 80-inch high minimum; furnishing and installing signs with both visual and tactile characters; furnishing and installing automatic door opener for the front entrance; and furnishing and installing video and two-way communication call system for the front entrance. A formal site visit will be held after the IFB is issued. Prospective bidders are strongly urged to participate in the site visit. We plan to issue the IFB via www.fbo.gov which will link potential bidders to the Dept. of Interior's National Business Center site. Registration on the NBC website bidders list for this requirement is strongly encouraged to assure that you receive convenient and prompt notification of amendments or other related correspondence. Telephone requests for the solicitation won't be accepted. An offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) www.ccr.gov to receive contracts and purchase orders from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency. For this acquisition the small business size standard is $31 million in gross annual receipts averaged over the previous three 1-year accounting periods and the NAICS code is 236220 (Commercial/Industrial Building Construction). This requirement is being conducted as a HUBZone set-aside (see FAR 19.13) and bidders must be registered HUBZone firms to receive award.
