- The U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID),intends tonegotiate, on a sole source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) withTeledyne Leeman Labs, 6 Wentworth Drive, Hudson, NH 03051 for the purchaseofthe Hydra-C Automated Mercury Analyzer, including associated software,workstation, spare parts, and training. The Hydra-C Automated Mercury Analyzer is believed to be the onlycommerciallyavailable automated mercury analyzer that will meet the requiredspecificationsand performance requirements, therefore, it has been determined that, inaccordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The cost of thisacquisition, including all accessory components and training, is notanticipated to exceed $40,000. The NAICS is 334516. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, any firmthatbelieves it can meet the requirements, as outlined in the attachedrequirementsdocument, may give written notification prior to the response due date.Responses are required to be submitted before July 24, 2008, 3:00 p.m.MountainTime. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to foggjc@id.doe.gov andsupporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstratetheability to perform the requirements listed. Responses received will beevaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete theproposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely withinthediscretion of the Government. Telephone requests or inquires will not beaccepted.
